Abzena is proudly opening a brand new, state of the art manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC. We are seeking a Production Planner to join our GMP Services team who will be responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule.

Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
Estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production.
Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Compile status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

  • 5+ Years of experience of Pharmaceutical Planning experience
  • Knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
Work Schedule and Travel Requirement
  • Potential for hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to travel between Abzena sites (Bristol PA, San Diego CA, and Sanford NC) 

Physical/Mental Requirement
Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time, sit for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Require working in an office setting where sitting and computer usage would be the norm.
