Abzena is proudly opening a brand new, state of the art manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC. We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our supply chain team who will be responsible for the effective management of all assigned GMP storage and distribution processes.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the activities of the warehouse team which oversees the receiving, inventory control, and logistics processes for components and raw materials used in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing. Interface cross-functionally at all levels within the organization,
  • Interpret and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence in the warehouse. 
  • Responsible for goal setting, team member development and administration of performance evaluations.

Must-Have 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain function or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in a (GMP) warehouse position
  • 3+ years of experience in Biologics or biopharma industry
  • Demonstrable knowledge of warehousing procedures and inventory management

Nice to Have 
  • Ability to interface with Internal Auditors, client auditors & regulatory Inspectors
  • Proven applied knowledge of service performance metrics
  • Ability to provide leadership and assign and direct the work of others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to initiate corrective action; ability to make rational decisions with limited information and operate independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate work with other teams.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail necessary in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and carry out work for successful project completion.
  • Ability to complete assignments in expected time frames and independently seek out additional work with tasks are completed ahead of time.
  • Experience with ERP systems

Work Schedule and Travel Requirement
  • M-F 8-5 with ability to support site in off hours
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Physical/Mental Requirement
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments)
  • Occasionally required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry and walk throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to lift product weighing up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to operate a fork lift and pallet jacks
