Merchant Activation Specialist 

Location: Remote USA - Midwest, Texas, or Northeast preferred / however open to all locations. 

Contract Duration:  3 months

Contract Type:   W2 through Staffing Supplier

Pay Rate:   $25 - $30/hr

 

 

This person will be responsible for helping thousands of merchants activate on our client’s new program, Going Out. We are expanding nationwide for the first time this month and need a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchant Activation Specialist to join our team on a very fast paced and constantly changing project. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful onboarding and activation of merchants onto the "Going Out" program. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on execution, maintaining high-quality standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Merchant Activation: Facilitate the onboarding process for merchants by guiding them through the activation steps, ensuring a seamless transition onto the "Going Out" program. 
  • Data Management: Accurately upload and manage merchant data using Google Sheets and other tracking tools, ensuring all information is up-to-date and error-free. 
  • Communication: Conduct outreach to merchants via phone calls and emails to provide support, answer questions, and ensure their successful activation. 
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of the activation process, identifying and resolving any issues promptly. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve the activation process, contributing to the overall efficiency of the program. 
  • Image Sourcing: Proactively search for and select high-quality images that represent the merchants' offerings, enhancing their profiles on the platform. 
  • Shipping Materials: May need to help us ship materials to merchants via UPS when we are unable to from one of our hubs 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, execution-focused role, preferably in operations, customer service, or a related field. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. 
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and other data management tools. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and support merchants effectively. 
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes.
