Large Order Merchant Strategy & Operations Contractor

Location:   Remote USA 

Contract Duration:  5 months

Contract Type:   W2 through Staffing Supplier

 

 

This role is pivotal in achieving our client’s quality targets for Merchant Experience (Mx) and ensuring operational excellence. This will help execute three critical workstreams: Menu Audits and Improvements, Inflation Management, and Metadata Collection. 

 

Contractor Responsibilities 

  1. Merchant onboarding and post-sale quality support- Objective: To minimize catering selection churn and ensure a great merchant experience. To execute on specific quality initiatives. Key Responsibilities:  Respond to catering pilot email questions  Perform weekly checks and send emails related to large order merchant quality program (scoreboards, warnings, etc) 
  2. Menu Audits / Improvements- Objective: To audit and update the menus of all Merchants participating in the Large Order Program, ensuring they meet minimum quality standards for customer convenience. Key Responsibilities:  Conduct comprehensive audits of Merchant menus to identify missing or incomplete information.  Update menus to include critical details such as:  Serving sizes.  Allergen information.  Detailed item descriptions.  Collaborate with Merchants to confirm and validate menu updates. Large Order Merchant Program  Ensure menu quality aligns with established standards to improve the customer ordering experience. 
  3. Mx Metadata Collection for Product Needs- Objective: To gather comprehensive metadata for all Merchants live on the Large Order Program, enabling better filtering and search functionality for an improved Cx ordering experience Key Responsibilities:  Collect and organize metadata for Merchants, including but not limited to:  Cuisine type.  Dietary accommodations.  Price points.  Serving sizes.  Food categories (e.g., full meals, finger foods, breakfast).  Work closely with Merchant teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.  Provide structured data to inform product improvements and enhance customer experience. 
  4. Inflation Management- Objective: To assess and address price inflation among Merchants in the Large Order Program, ensuring Mx pricing is competitive and aligns with market expectations. Key Responsibilities:  Analyze current menu prices for Merchants in the Large Order Program.  Compare Merchant prices with external benchmarks, such as:  EzCater menus.  Self-catering menus (if available).  Identify discrepancies and inflated prices.

- Ability to problem solve

- Merchant onboarding experience strongly preferred

- Account Management/Customer Success background desireable

 

 

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $37 – $40/hr. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
